Visit the biggest man-made lake in northern Europe and the biggest working forest in England. Kielder offers a wide range of activities including walking, cycling, horse riding, orienteering, many water sports, fishing, a bird of prey centre and even an observatory. When serious retail therapy is required then the Metrocentre at Gateshead is the place to head. With over 3 miles of shop fronts, bars, restaurants and cinema all under cover in Britain’s biggest shopping centre.
